Welcome to the Chelmsford group of Amnesty International. We turned 25 on 16 January 2009. VicMarathonAmnestyTshirt Cropped

Amnesty is changing the way our website will look from May. Before then, Vic, one of our newest members, will be running in the London Marathon for Amnesty on 22 April. She would be delighted if you would sponsor her by going to www.justgiving.com/VicRunsLondon

We had a great benefit concert on 26 November at Trinity Methodists, our sixth, with the award-winning Swift Singers of South Woodham Ferrers. Our next, on Saturday 13 October, is again at Trinity Methodists with the Chelmsford Male Voice Choir.

We are one of nearly 300 groups in the UK that contribute to Amnesty’s mission to defend human rights across the world. Amnesty International is a movement with more than 3.2 million members committed to defending human rights of individuals to justice, fairness, and freedom of conscience and expression.

We are an enthusiastic and welcoming group of local people who:

We hope that you will be able to join a growing, impartial and independent movement committed to building democracy and international solidarity, and defending universal rights to freedom and justice.

For more information, contact us, take a look at about us, or read our latest Annual Report (pdf).
